Cindy Byrd, CPA, is a fearless conservative leader who has a proven record of standing for Oklahoma taxpayers against government waste, corruption, and special interests. 

A fourth-generation rural Oklahoman, Cindy worked nights at the Wrangler Jeans Factory to pay her way through college, only to experience the economic devastation of her hometown when Bill Clinton’s NAFTA deal sent local jobs to Mexico. That experience forged her commitment to America First policies, economic sovereignty, and fighting for working families.

In 2018, Cindy became the first woman elected State Auditor & Inspector of Oklahoma, with the highest statewide vote total of any candidate in Oklahoma history, proving that Oklahomans value courage, honesty, independence, and results. Cindy exposed systemic abuse of taxpayer funds, and her work has led to the removal of over 30 corrupt public officials from office. When others looked the other way, Cindy demanded accountability — and delivered transparency. In 2022, voters rewarded that leadership with the largest margin of victory of any statewide candidate on the Republican ballot.

With unmatched knowledge of how federal, state, and local dollars flow, and how they are too often misused, Cindy Byrd is running for Lt. Governor to implement her strategic plan to reform government and move Oklahoma out of bottom tier rankings in education and healthcare outcomes, by investing smarter and putting Oklahomans’ priorities first.
