House District 35, which includes parts of Creek, Noble, Osage, Pawnee, and Payne counties, is holding a special election after Rep. Ty Burns (R‑Pawnee) resigned in October 2025.

  • Runoff (if needed): January 13, 2026
  • General Election: February 10, 2026

 Republican Candidates

Five Republicans are competing in the primary:

  • Amber Roberts — Businesswoman and community advocate; focused on small business growth and local development.
  • Dillon Travis — Agricultural background; emphasizes rural infrastructure and farming communities.
  • James Winn —   Ladies for Liberty is proud to announce our endorsement of James Winn. He is a Creek County resident and lives in Olive Oklahoma. He has local government experience; prioritizes public safety and stronger community services.
  • Kevin Wright — Conservative with ties to the energy sector; supports oil and gas industry and reduced regulation.
  • Fifth Candidate — Filed but not widely covered; details remain limited.
